I pinned this sign recently, I loved it and knew I had to make one!
This past weekend I was going on a Ladies Weekend to a friend's cottage and had been trying to decide what I would take as a hostess gift. (insert light bulb turning on here) This sign would be perfect!!!
So I set out to start designing my version of this using Silhouette Studio.
This is a screen capture which shows how the type...
When I saw that Funky Junk's SNS 138 was featuring Pallets and Reclaimed Wood projects I had to repost this project, it's one of my favs to date and I'm looking forward to doing more like it. I think it was a post that Donna did a while back on how to select the right pallet for a project that started my obsession. I'm very luck to have a good friend in the printing business and he now sets aside...
The end of last year we picked up this coffee table for $16 at our local thrift store. It's really sturdy, I had a vision of it becoming the perfect entrance bench. It's so darn pretty I was torn when it came to painting it (not!)
After sanding the top, the top was painted with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, Louis Blue then I added this phrase that was cut using my Silhouette Cameo. The navy blue is...
Nope, not done yet but she's coming along! Wanna see a before shot? Are you sure, it's scary.
Isn't it welcoming? I have been following so many amazing blogs, many that have these gorgeous entrances that are white and bright. I yearn for that fresh, white, beachy entrance way!
Here's the stage we are at now ...
It's taking a little longer, there is tons of caulking to be done and another coat of...

I thought we could match the color of these chairs I found on Kijiji last year. I tend to like a consistent color pallet throughout a home, our gas stove is burgundy so we do have a couple of hints of this color...
I don't believe there is a 7 step program for Real Estate addicts, and if there were I'm not sure it's an addiction I'm ready to part with. Besides, half the battle is admitting to it.
A couple of weeks ago I shared a Riverfront cutie that in my dreams I was sure would be ours! Well it's been SOLD. No one can accuse me of brooding over it. Not me! I'm movin on Sista!!
How bout this beauty...

I'm off work today and it's a good thing. I've known since last Fall that our neighbour Brian was going to take down a length of picket fence between our houses. Frank mentioned to him not to burn or throw out the fence since I will most likely want to do something with it. Today, I was puttering around the house and I noticed a section of the picket fence lying on Brian's fire pit ... AHHHHH! No,...
